3 simple ways to begin a training program

As beginners we just want to get in the gym and start doing stuff.

While that’s great because your motivation is high, it’s not gonna keep you in there.

  1. Intention & Goals: As beginners we just want to get in the gym and start doing stuff. While that’s great because your motivation is high, it’s not gonna keep you in there. Knowing what you want to achieve will give you the blueprint and the reason why you should keep coming back. Setting goals might be difficult, as you don't know what's attainable. If you need help, holler out at me here. I'll be happy to help you over a consultation, free of charge.

  2. Follow a program. A program keeps you accountable and coming back. A program is a selective order and prescribed volume of exercise which has an accurate focus on your goal. There is no guesswork, it's a formula. Going in there and doing random work = random results.

  3. Hire a trainer. The same reason you invest in a teacher, mentor or any expert is because you get a direct source of information and you get started on the right foot. If this is something you truly want to implement in your life, do it right.

How to pick the right trainer/coach for you

  • Social media is usually a fake look into someone but you will know if a trainer/coach is right for you if their values and message align with yours.

  • Try to avoid trainers that are only there to sell to you.

  • Try to avoid trainers that talk mostly about themselves.

  • Try to avoid trainers that are rigid in their approach and are generally just asshole-ish in their nature.

Look for:

  • Look for trainers that offer a bunch of free content and advice, they're a good starting point

  • Look for trainers that have client testimonials, especially ones that HAVE already done the result you’re looking for.

  • Look for trainers that are genuinely looking to help people.
